The village dining room is the heartbeat of the village. We encourage residents and owners to eat in the dining room not only for the social benefit but also to experience meals the way they are intended to
Menus for the dining hall are sent out electronically in advance for the next month. Hard copies are available from the Kitchen. Visitors are allowed but must also be booked in advance.
Book all meals at least 24 hours in advance at the desk inside the dining room using your Royal Olive Allxs card, or in the Tuckshop, or online (booking assistance is available at the meal booking station). Add credit on your meal card using your credit card or an EFT from your bank account. Royal Olive Allxs cards are to be presented at the dining hall reception to receive your booked meals.
Lunch is served daily in the dining room: Prices are printed on the menus. Weekdays and Sunday carvery: 11h30 – 14h00, Saturday brunch 10h00 – 13h00. Booking times: 08h00 – 10h00 and after 14h00. No booking is allowed during mealtimes (11h30 – 14h00).
Takeaway pickup 10h30 – 11h30. Containers are extra (or bring your own). Meal delivery: 10h30 – 11h30. Top-up portions or half meals can be provided, but these must be arranged when booking.
Call order breakfast, coffee, sandwiches and cake are served on order in the dining hall from 08h00 – 11h30 and from 13h00 – 15h00. (Note – closed between 11h30 and 13h00). No booking required. Prices are on the menus in the dining hall at the meal booking station.
The convenience shop provides frozen meals and essential products. There are also plenty of items to snack on.
The shop is open 7days a week from 08h00 – 15:00
